Katy’s Dance Academy

Katy’s Dance academy is a dance school located in Prestwood offering classes in Ballet, Modern and Street Dance. We provide energetic, inclusive dance classes for children from pre-school to Key Stage 2. At Katy’s Dance Academy we are passionate about inspiring children to develop technique, confidence and creativity through dance.

Having trained in dance from a young age Katy has performed in a variety of contexts such as dance shows, festivals, pantomimes and with a Street Dance group. She has taken examinations to an advanced level of skill in Ballet and Modern Dance, developing technique, musicality and creativity; skills that she hopes to share with the children of Katy’s Dance Academy.

Katy has a degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status and has gained teaching qualifications in Imperial Classical Ballet and Modern Dance through the ISTD. She is an experienced Primary School teacher and currently teaches reception at Prestwood Infant School where she is the Special Educational Needs Coordinator. Prior to this Katy taught and choreographed for a successful theatre company.
